I did not personally know this young man, but what I do know is he must have been a special person. There isn't a bad word uttered about Dan McPharlane.
Shortly after this tragic loss I became more interested and involved in the community and political process. Many people ask me "why" and my answer varies depending on who ask. I think my reason is the same reason Dan chose to get involved. Just to do the right thing by his fellow man. My summation is that we were not ready for Dan, he was ahead of his time, and the future party leader. Dan was ass kiss proof, he didn't need to do so, he figured this thing out on his own, no matter who takes credit for his deed's, honesty and good will. He made a choice, and he chose the best interest of the community, when many people his age are reluctant to take on such a role. I respect his deed's, but he is a hard act to follow. He is most certainly irreplaceable, and he is the example of what we should be to our community, therefore he has formed the "new curriculum" on integrity of the democratic party. So we will follow his lead and walk in his foot prints. We can never be Dan, but we can move toward his vision for the party. And that's exactly what we are doing. Finding our place or creating one, despite all opposition. I would like to think that Dan is guiding us, along with God. But just maybe he sent help on his behalf. Hello, I work for Dan McPharlane.
Amen, my sister in the battle to improve our community.
Always... It's the only thing that matters.
