Interview with Kathy Weppner

The Pride of ArtVoice, Alan Bedenko, has been mercilessly attacking Republican Congressional candidate in CD-26 (incumbent Brian Higgins) Kathy Weppner on the AV blog. It is difficult to count the number of poison posts, but most are at least a little unhinged. I met Kathy the other day and asked if she would do an interview. We met for coffee this morning at the Lake Effect Diner on Main Street in Buffalo. I was fascinated to learn that, like many of Bedenko's other victims, she has never met the Pride or even spoken to him. You decide whether this is the worst, most vicious and contempable person you have ever encountered.

Pete,
Surprisingly there might be hope for you as a journalist. You let her tell her story, without injecting your ego or posing editorial inanities. Reminds me of the classic CBC interviewer,(Now deceased), that inspired our WBFO alumnus to craft Fresh Air on NPR. If you work at it you might rise to the level of David Frost, or even Charlie Rose.
She seems genuine enough but tends parrot the usual nonsense re: 'ObamaCare, socialism, amount of national debt. Etc. Illustrated of the failure of our education system to teach basic economics. A trip to Ireland should have taught her something. I wish she would run against Collins, that would be a real contribution.

Drink the Kool Aid. When you're wearing the brown shirt and sitting in a job with a maximum income cap, I hope you enjoy yourself.

I am not surprised at the character and integrity and genuine interest Kathy has for the residents of WNY. She alone had the courage to stand next to my husband and fight Higgans who was supposed to be the victim's representative along with every career politician in WNY to free Anthony Capozzi and with her own money and time they together refused to let the Amanda Wienkowski homocide remain an accident because the murderer had ties to political powers in WNY ...again!
The trouble with politics in wny is its a small town and the same political names are funded by big govt money, ads, etc because they know the incumbents are in their pockets and as long as they stay in office the elite have full control over ALL the people. This is the poorest city in the NATION! under the current incumbents. When will the voters wake up? Here is the first hint that HIGGANS needs to be voted out....Did you see him come out and say ONE word for Anthony? for Lynn? for Amanda? for Det. Delano? or against the lies today against judge Delano? for the US Marine in Mexico? seal team 6? "Obama's plan to make utility costs SKYROCKET"? ..........no. But you will see him show up to give a dead wwll vet's family a medal the vet should have gotten 70 years ago. BTW...has he come out against the VA problems or that the rest of the NY incumbents he supports completely voted to REDUCE veterans benefits?? NO! I suggest you think about the oath they take for office and if or not Higgans has kept it. That constitution secures your rights. Its not a suggestion that DC can rip apart while Higgans remains silent. Its time for CHANGE here also....and btw....ask yourself why NOT ONE INCUMBENT has moved to have the PROPAGANDA LAW reinstated (Smith Mundt act) or RECALL in NY. BOTH protected YOU!!! but not the politicians.

Very nice interview. Kathy is exactly as you see her in the video. The issues she talks about should be on the minds of every person in the NY26. Thanks for introducing Kathy to a new audience.

As a former Navy Commander, Navy SEAL, and concerned citizen for our nation, I enjoyed the interview and "strongly endorse" Kathy Weppner for election. I know Kathy and believe that she'll work hard for the American people. We need people like her in Congress. With her it won't be lip service but true service.

Well done Pete. If people would just listen to what Kathy has to say rather than rely on comments and links from the previous decade, they will see she is a serious, thoughtful and passionate advocate. Agree with her or don't, but let her have a chance to get her message out.

Ive had it with these weak, whiney and hysterical Liberals that offer no solutions. They keep campaigning for big government incompetence, corruption and no desire to accomplish anything bold. EVERY City in the USA is suffering " Urban Blight " and decay. Why? Liberal Democratic administrations.
