Several Federal officials were invited to attend a special session of the Buffalo Common Council to respond to Council Members’ inquiries on Peace Bridge construction projects and residents’ related health issues. They chose unusual attire for their appearance, coming dressed as empty chairs.
Community Development Committee Chairman, Joe Golombek, was not pleased, nor were other Councilmembers, or assembled citizens. Golombek seems to feel that the Feds have something to hide. Hopefully the Council will decide to exercise its subpoena powers to compel attendance at a future session. Read more here.
